Originally released for travel retail, Oscuro—Latin for “dark”—lives up to its name in every aspect, from its deep mahogany color to its opulent sherry-driven profile.

Crafted from a careful selection of first fill and refill sherry butts, this whisky reveals The Macallan’s classic DNA with amplified intensity and sumptuous texture. It is a bold, mature dram with elegance at its core.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Rich and enveloping. Aromas of dried figs, Medjool dates, and dark treacle unfold alongside orange marmalade, clove, and antique oak. Hints of cacao nibs and cinnamon incense linger in the background.

Palate: Full-bodied and velvety. Waves of black cherry, molasses, and spiced fruitcake give way to roasted hazelnuts, gingerbread, and a touch of espresso. The mouthfeel is deep and layered, with exceptional sherry integration.
